We do not fall short of our Kingdom potential because there is anything lacking in the way God made us, but because we allow ourselves to be chained by the past – rather than allowing our identities to be forged by our present standing in Christ. The Apostle Paul encourages us to forget what lies behind and press on toward the high calling in Christ Jesus. If after 30 years of shaking the Roman Empire for Christ Paul felt there was yet more for him, how much more do you suppose there is to be had by the likes of us?
