It is a good thing to seek to be like Christ, and yet first we must simply LIKE Christ. For to be like someone you don’t first like is little more than an exercise in religion. The beautiful paradox for the Christian is this: Once Jesus is utmost in your affections, once He becomes that which you supremely value, it is in that hour that you will have set yourself upon the path of becoming more and more like Him. Once you stop trying and start trusting, you will begin to find the power of the resurrection at work in your life. Get your Word on!
