Luke 20:19-40

Given the staggering nature of the eternal realm as described and promised in the Bible, we tend to scratch our heads and wonder why a person wouldn’t want to be a part of that. The idea that this present world is all there is – well of course that’s nothing more than a lie from the very pit of hell itself. The enemy’s entire playbook is simply an effort to get us riveted and focused and just fixated upon this world here and now. That’s the lie. Chillingly, even God’s children can buy into a big part of that lie. The reason we continue to settle for so many cheap substitutes as Christians, is because we don’t have a robust understanding and appreciation of the resurrection to come.
