The writer of Hebrews sets out to broaden our spiritual range by taking us all the way back to that violent explosive day the law was given to the people of God at the base of Mount Sinai.  And then from Sinai all the way to Zion, the inspired writer sets out to illuminate the extravagant grace and glory of God against the canvas of God’s justice and Holiness. It is the PRIVILEGE of the believer that wrestles to the ground the depravity of man and the Holiness of God – to truly stand at the threshold of grace with eyes wondrously open and jaw on the floor.
