Hebrews 11:8-10

The Writer of Hebrews calls Father Abraham as the next witness to the stand in Hebrews Chapter 11. Now when the call of God came to Abraham, he left wealth and prosperity behind without knowing where he would end up. God promises this guy some 56,000 square feet – and yet by fits and starts he eventually gets to the land of promise – only to find himself living in a tent next to a van down by the river. What is the believer to do when you sense you’ve been faithful to the call of God, and yet it doesn’t seem like it’s rolling out the way you thought it would. HERE’S WHAT ABRAHAM DID:  He worshipped His God – he prayed to His God – and he maintained a laser beam focus upon the City of God.
