There will be no churches dropping Easter eggs from helicopters this year.  In fact it’s rather interesting how the Lord has stripped this deal down to a flying gas can. The only thing on board is the Word of God – and that’s as it should be. There will be no pastel colored bouncy houses and “He is Risen” latte art this year. Consumer driven Christianity appears to be sidelined for a time, and that’s probably a good thing. In these serious times we have no need for enormous choirs and fair-trade coffee. What we do need desperately is the pure Word of God. What we do need desperately is the people of God to live resurrected lives, and to let the world see us doing it. Join us this Sunday for a hard-hitting sermon for these hard-hitting times, as we explore the incredible impact the resurrection has for our day – and seek to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.  Get your Word on with us this Easter, as we say YES and AMEN to the work God is doing in our world and in the Church.
