Perhaps more than in any other area, Christians tend to struggle practically with their sufficiency in Christ.  While we believe God’s grace in Christ is sufficient for salvation, the way we live our lives suggests we’re not really sure God’s grace is sufficient for our problems.  And so we live out much of our Christian lives, largely unaware of the divine power source that has been made available unto us.  And that’s why the Apostle Paul prays so earnestly in Ephesians 1, that we might know the riches of His glory and the surpassing greatness of His POWER toward us who believe.  Now maybe the reason it’s so difficult to appropriate all that is ours in Christ, is because we simply DO NOT KNOW what it is that what we have.  Get your Word on with us this week, in some of the most illuminating text in all of the New Testament, where the Apostle Peter describes the explosive power of God made available to all believers through the deep knowledge of the Word.
