Peter gives us the fourth and final command in Chapter One, to “fervently love one another from the heart.” Now Jesus Himself prays that you and I as believers would be one in Christ even as He and the Father are One. But then He said something very interesting. He said our love for one another is how the watching world will know that the Father sent the Son. We don’t need clever gimmicks and methods and events to attract and engage unbelievers. What we need is to fervently love one another. Only that will turn the heads and the hearts of those without hope. The answer to our evangelistic dilemma is not the glory of men whose flesh is like the flowers of grass that fall and wither, but it is the love of God shed abroad in our hearts extended to one another in hope.   Get your Word on with us and make much of the glory of Christ.
