Luke 8:19-39

Isn’t it interesting that the only record of Jesus sleeping in the Gospels, is in a small boat in the midst of a fierce storm? The disciples wake him up in a frenzy, and Jesus beats the Sea of Galilee dead flat in an instant with the power of His Word. In Luke Chapter 8 we discover that there is one reason and one reason alone that the disciples found themselves in this storm. It was because they were following Jesus. From time to time when we find ourselves in difficulty, it may very well be that Christ has led you there in order to do an eternal work in you, and to remind you of His care and provision for you in that work.
