Luke 7:18-35

In Luke Chapter 7 Jesus tells religious leaders that wisdom in known by her children.  In other words, the proof is in those who are walking upon the path that God has laid out for them.  And just as wisdom has her children, so we understand foolishness has hers.  And perhaps at no other place is that contrast more evident than upon the deathbed.  When you visit an unbeliever’s deathbed, you will discover great fear and great regret and great bitterness; there’s a sense of having been cheated by life.  But when you go to the deathbed of the saint, there you will discover joy and peace; you will find a sense of having finally arrived  –  there’s an excitement there; they can’t wait to go and be with their God.  You don’t have settle for anemic Christianity any more.
