Luke 21:20-38

Of all the creatures that God created, He creates man alone with the distinctive ability and capacity to think well into the future. Have ya’ ever wondered just why that is? Well the Bible tells us that God has placed eternity within our hearts for a reason. God made you and I in His image – an image so marred by sin that we have been painstakingly separated from Him. And so now here we are, with this built-in frustration that can never resolve itself apart from an eternal relationship with Him. And until I figure that out, I’ll hit lever after lever to get another pellet in a cage I don’t even know that I’m in. But when His grace comes and illuminates your heart, you make the discovery that He is the very reason you’ve been given the capacity to long for the future.
