In our last study in Luke Chapter 2, we discover the only narrative the Bible gives us concerning the young Christ, and what we find is spectacular. The 12-year-old Jesus, after ordering a bus to take the best and brightest of Israel to school, handles an emotionally exasperated Mary with great wisdom and gentleness, guiding her into truth with 2 penetrating questions  –  “Why is it you were looking for me?  And did you not know I must be about my Father’s business?” The very same questions ought to pierce our hearts today, as it is all too easy to forget that Christ is right here among us each and every hour, and that He has a desire to lead us unto a deeper understanding of His Word, that we might actually know Him for ourselves and never forget that again.
