The writer of Hebrews likens the Christian life to a race that is to be run with endurance. He tells us the only hope that we have to do that – is to fix our eyes firmly upon the Lord Jesus Christ. It is when Jesus is supreme in our affections, that the sins and weights that beset us begin to lose their grip upon us. The key to the victorious Christian life lies not within our own strength in the energies of the flesh, but it comes when we replace our fleshly appetites with the infinite value and beauty and worth and excellence of the person of Jesus. Whatever you value the most – that’s where the rest of your world is going to go. What we are looking at MATTERS. Where our eyes are matters. And if we will get our eyes fixed upon Jesus, there we will find truth and joy and energy and vitality and life. Get your Word on with us and run the race well!
