Exodus 29-30

In the Tabernacle of Moses, after sacrificing an innocent victim at the Altar, the priests were then to go and meet God – but they had a problem. They had bloody hands and dirty feet. And so on their way to meet God, it was there that they washed in the water of the Brazen Laver. Now today, as believers we have accepted the sacrifice of Christ, but we get more than a little dirty and bloody walking around in this world. And so the Bible tells us we are to wash in the water of the Word of God, that we might be sanctified and cleansed and made ready as well. The Lesson of the Laver is one that’s been largely lost on the Body of Christ in our day. Come and recapture the timeless truth of the cleansing power of the Word with us!
